Enjoy The Weekend ~

Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2: 4-5

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

I hope that everyone enjoys the holiday weekend. I am reminded more this year than in the past, not sure why, of those who have given their all, their families, their lives to serve and protect our country for us to all enjoy our freedom. If any of you have served our country, I want to take this time to say THANK YOU. I know I take for granted the wonderful life I am able to live, enjoying the freedoms that we have, because of YOU. My heart goes out to the families who have lost a son, a husband, a father, a daughter, a mother, a wife to the cause of serving our country. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say THANK YOU. If you know a veteran, say THANK YOU to them. Such a small gesture for such a great gift they have given to you and I and our families.

Many of you will be cooking out, boating, camping & enjoying the outdoors in many ways. Some of you may even be enjoying the all time American past time of enjoying a baseball game! Does it get any better than a good old baseball game? Whatever your plans are, just be careful and be safe.

Keep praying for our kids here and keep their families in your prayers too. These families go through so much, they need support too. Some get to come, receive treatment, then go home to be with their families and life goes on as normal as possible with a child fighting cancer. Other families are torn apart, separated from each other for months even years at a time. Many times feeling like a stranger in their own home when they do get to go back for a short visit. Many mom's are at the hospital with the child fighting for their life, while the other family members have the task of trying to continue daily life .... school programs, ball games, dance and piano recital's, etc. The parent, who is being the caregiver at the hospital misses out on so very much of the lives of their other children. Don't get me wrong, the caregiver parent is where they need to be and does this with all the love of ones heart, but it does not change the fact that there are so many things that they miss out on that they would want to be there for to support their other children too. These families just live each day fighting a disease trying to put their families and lives back together. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Send a message of encouragement. For some, it's their only source of strength on some days.
